First Second Life millionaire: Anshe Chung

Anshe Chung, a property developer avatar in the virtual world of Second Life (not Docklands) has enough virtual cash now that were she to cash out and convert her Linden Dollars into US currency (which is a real option, in case you didn't know) she would net US $1 million.

Reuters has some good detail on the story, if you're interested... and if you would like to buy some virtual property from Ms Chung, have a look at her AnsheChung Studios website.

Except if she did that she would crash the market in Linden $, which is a traded currency.

Anshe is the Avatar of a husband and wife company in Germany iirc...I wonder if they signed Avatar Nuptial Contracts to work out who gets what of Anshe's wealth :)

By the way, there are some dark dealings in 2nd Life property, which I blogged on here on broadstuff.

I also wrote saying great blog, but that seemed to have dropped off!

Thanks, Alan! And great story you tell on your blog...

I've been in there a fair bit recently and trying to buy some land has been high on me list - but it's been a frustrating and dull experience so far...
