NBC's latest channel is on YouTube

One the major TV networks in the US has become the first TV brand to launch a "channel" on the YouTube video sharing community.

According to the FT (may be pay-walled):

Under the terms of the agreement NBC will create an official NBC Channel on YouTube that will preview forthcoming NBC shows and show exclusive video clips promoting shows such as NBC’s The Office.

As well as ads and teaser clips, NBC will experiment with longer segments from popular shows on YouTube.

It's a good idea for firms like NBC to be experimenting like this. The revenue and marketing benefits may not be proven, but with 70 million downloads a day, many media execs will want a way to play in this space.
