Connected media: my definition

I promised no more shibboleths, and in the absence of a Wikipedia entry to link to, I wanted to float my own definition of connected media, since its a term I've been bandying about like it means something.

Connected media: my preferred catch-all phrase for the new universe of media with the web at the centre of it all, encompassing and connecting traditional and consumer-generated audio, video and written word content as well as blogs, wikis, folksonomies etc. With connected media, content is not static - it travels, it is debated, discussed, re-edited and re-cut. To understand communication and influence in this world, it is the networks and the connections you must pay attention to.

If that doesn't make sense, please mail me or post a comment.
