MySpace becomes most visited site in the US

Hitwise provides more analysis of MySpace's hitting the number one spot for visitors to a website. That means it is out there in front of Yahoo!, eBay and even the mighty Google as a destination for American internet users.

MySpace is also the 7th most searched for word in the US, meaning that there are still many more people wanting to find it wanting to know more (you're not going to search for "MySpace" very often if you are one of the 87 million people who have an account already) which means that there is more potential for the community to keep growing.
